PRODUCT REVIEW: 20 Pounds in 10 Days....Is it possible?

I decided that I wanted to post my review on a program I bought over a year ago. I had the e-book on my computer and I just want to post some much needed information. Before you decide to go out and buy it, let me give you my review on it and you can make your assumptions from my expirence.

Over a year ago, me and my two sisters decided that we needed to lose weight because we all know that being over weight is not that healthy so we took measures in our own hands and I decided to purchase an e-book called 20 pounds in 10 days. Even though it sounded too good to be true, I was still curious. What if it were true? So we stuck to the plan.

On day one we ate:

  • Breakfast-a slice of whole wheat toast, 1/2 of grapfruit and a teaspoon of peanutbutter.
  • Lunch-Slice of wheat toast, a can of tuna and a cup of prune juice (YUCK!!!)
  • Dinner-4 oz grilled chicken breast (we put a tsp of garlic and a pinch of lemon juice to give it flavor)1/2 cup of fresh hand-picked boiled string beans, and a small apple.

We also drank no less than 8 glasses of water a day. When we were extra hungry, we would eat a healthy snack like an apple or rasins.

The first day was very hard and we ended up quiting the program around day 8 or nine. So close huh?

***********************************The Results*************************************

  • I lost 6 pounds
  • Sister #1 Lost 10 pounds
  • Sister #2 Lost 10 pounds

We did not lose the weight that was claimed when I purchased this program, however, I thougth that we did lose a lot of weight for the amount of time we were on the program. The down side is that the weight-loss wasn't permanent for us and we ended up gaining it right back because we were so deprived of the foods we liked. I would suggest this program only if you want to lose some quick weight for a special event. Other than that, if you are looking for permanent resulst, don't waste your time with this one.

  • There's Always Going to Be Ignorant People in the World

Hey guys, you know, I recently started this page so that I can record my weightloss goals and inspire others to do the same but it seems recently my efforts have been accused of advertising. First and foremost, I have been overweight for years and I understand the embarassment and shame when you can't do the things you want and wear the clothes you like. I truly understand and been there. I joined a weightloss forum (I care not to disclose that information here) but my intent was to let others know what worked for me. Instead of getting positive feedback, I received a couple of negative comments and I really didn't appreciate. I felt violated and disrespected. I didn't realize that there are still people out there in the world that are just ready to crush and smash whatever hope that's left in a person. These people are cruel and I do not associate myself with this kind of company. I will not let this type of negative energy get me down but instead I will standfast and continue to help others reach their goals. Feel free to leave me a message about this topic. I am higly disturbed.

Some Quick Tips That Will Allow You to Start Losing Weight Now

I'm always finding ways to improve my health and lose weight even faster than before by applying knowledge that I accquire from different sources. There are a few tips that I go by that ensures my weight-loss success. If you follow some of these tips, I can guarantee that you will start losing weight drastically. I feel that I have overcome struggles with my weight and I want to help those out there who are dealing with the same issue.

    • Apples are very good for losing weight.

Did you know that the skin of an apple contains a chemical that LIMITS the fat your body will take in? Once your body has consumed up to that limit, everything else get's flushed out your system. That particular chemical doesn't allow EXTRA fat to be stored, thus, allowing you to lose weight. I love this technique because this gave me my jump start in weight loss.

    • Always eat something in the morning.

Breakfast is the most important part of the day. Why? Because this is the meal that gets your metablism going. I prefer to eat peanutbutter on wheat toast and a half of grapfruit some days while other days I'll eat an egg white and a bowl of oat meal. You can eat almost anything you want, just eat in moderation.

    • Do NOT skip a meal.

Doing this is not helping you at all. In reality, it's actually hurting you because your body's metablism starts slowing down and it begins to hold on to the fat that's already in your body because it thinks that you're starving it. It trys to hold on to every little "nourshment" it can get. Eat small healthy meals throughout the day. Keep that metablism going strong. Your body will thank you later.

I'm constantly updating my blog when I feel the need to share some information with everyone. Check back for more tips and advice. I will be posting some of my secrets so that you can start losing weight too. I also highly recommend checking out http://www.15lbsin30days.com/ this is where I got most of my knowledge and I wouldn't have lost the weight without this site. Until next time...

    Today, I was tempted

OMG, I cannot believe that I almost "cheated" today. I was running late for work and I didn't have time to grab anything healthy on the way out the door. Thing is, I usually prepare my breakfast before I go out the door to work. I like my meals fresh. So, anyway, I'm waking up at 7:40...I usually get up at 6:45 so I'm waking up a whole hour late. I rush and get ready and I know I don't have enough time to prepare my meal and head out the door. So I had to grab something quick. I looked in the cabinet and all I could find was unhealthy snacks but what caught my attention was....a scrumptious...delicious...chocolately.....cupcake. Oh, no...not the cheap off-brand kind (not that I have anything against them) but it was a Little Debbie snack cake, you know the one that comes with TWO in the pack. I reach for it and debated with myself trying to convince myself that I can "work it off." Hey, I'm entitled to cheat every once in a while aren't I? I debated long and hard.....I ended up putting it back. That was the most tough decision I had to make. Needless to say I was starving at work. I couldn't wait for lunch. I had a nice grilled chicken salad and it felt like I haven't eaten in days! But the extra chicken was well worth it! I deserved it today.

    I Can't Believe This...

This is so strange... I was talking to my sister the other day and she told me that she was so inspired to do the weight loss challenge with me. Now keep in mind, this chick don't even like to think about loosing weight but for some reason, she "all of a sudden" wants to lose weight now. I guess she's finally noticed that it is possible to loose weight and it's not hard as you think. I guess she's noticing the weight that I'm losing and now she want's to just go for it. I'm glad she's finally motivated.

I feel like I should start maintaining my current weight because I dont' want to lose too much. I'm currently approaching 135lbs and I can't believe that I got here so fast. I was heading to 170lbs two months ago. But I'll keep you guys posted. Check back later!

To My Friend Asia, Who didn't think I Could Do It

Ha ha ha, it's so funny. I haven't always been a "big" girl. I used to be so thin in High School. I used to wear my little sister's clothes and she wears a size zero! I still can't believe I was that tiny. She used to get so mad at me but her clothes were so cute! But anyway back to the story...

When I graduated high school, I was 123lbs but I was fit because I played tennis. I remember my aunts used to joke with me saying that I could eat anything I wanted and never gained a pound. They used to say how they wished they were my size and still be able to eat what they wanted. I just kinda looked at them like they were crazy. It never really crossed my mind that my "eating what I wanted" days were over.

I went to college that summer and I felt like a free spirit. I remember purchasing the room and board meal plan 19 meals a week...(3 meals Mon-Fri and 2 meals Sat and Sun). I remember thinking, this is not going to be enough food. I will starve! So I made it my business to eat every meal. Hey, I paid for it why not. Let's just say by the end of the school year I had gained 30lbs...I surpassed the freshman 15. I noticed a little weight gain but I didn't pay too much attention to it. When I came home, my mom and my whole family were like, "Are you pregnant! You are fat!" Harsh isn't it. I couldn't swallow the fact that I had blew up like a balloon in such a short period of time. This has never happend to me before and I couldn't believe that I, the cute little petite girl has finally taken on the family curse...being over weight.

I got depressed and I ate more. I picked up 2 more pounds a month after I came home. My friend Asia didn't have weight issues at all. She was tall and slender, you know the type that looks like they can walk down a runway for Versache. She ate WHATEVER she wanted and didn't gain a pound. She was able to wear all the cute clothing and I was stuck wearin like sweats and baggy clothes.

I told Asia that this was the year to loose weight. She heard me say I would loose weight before but I would cheat and eat foods I shouldn't have and I find myself back to my old habbits. So Asia thought this was going to be the same thing. I needed to prove Asia wrong so I had to do something and I had to stick to it...for good this time. I set realistic weight-loss goals and stuck with them. Now that I think about it, I'm finally sticking to my New Year's resolution. Who knows by the time my birthday gets here in May, I can actually wear something cute again.

    ***************************Recommendation**********************************

I recommend going to http://www.15lbsin30days.com/ and check out some of the free things they have to offer. This is the program that made it so possible for me to lose the weight. In my opinion, this is probably the easiest program I have every followed. I definitley didn't think this was possible.

Let me just say this: With that program I lost 17 lbs my first month. I noticed right away that I was losing weight. My family notice too but the one thing that made it really worth wile was the look on Asia's face. Asia, if you are reading this, I told you I could do it! I'm so happy I took the steps to get back in shape.
